View your complete change set history and receive an in-app or email notification when a
deployment fails. New Spiff validations prevent empty change set submissions and updated in-app
messages guide you to the right next step at each stage of your sandbox workflow.

Change Set Usability Enhancements
Where: This change applies to
Salesforce Spiff.
Why: Previously, the Inbound Change Sets and Outbound Change Sets tables included only the
most recent change sets. Now, all change sets appear in both tables, so you have a complete
deployment history to review and audit at any time.
Also,
Spiff now reduces the chance of errors in your sandbox workflow. Spiff now prevents you from
submitting a change set that contains no selected changes. If your sandbox has reached its
record limit, Spiff blocks connector syncs to prevent truncated or corrupted data.
The new Deployment Failed notification alerts you immediately when a change set deployment fails.
The notification is available to users who have Read permission in Spiff Designer or Read
permission for change sets. Spiff delivers this notification by email or in-app. Each user can
turn off the notification independently in their notification settings.
Change set exports now include Initial Value and New Value columns. The additional columns make
it easier to compare the export to the change set window during audits. The change set window
also shows a field count that matches the number of rows in the export. The Open
Spiff button in the Ready to Finalize email now directs users with Read permission
in Designer to the Spiff home page. The button directs all other users to the Inbound Change Set
page.
How: To manage your Deployment Failed notification, click your avatar in the top-right
corner and select Manage Notifications. Turn off the notification under
your email and in-app notification settings. For details, see Manage Notifications in Salesforce
Spiff.
