Create a Data 360 Salesforce CRM Connection for Sales Insights

Step 1 for setting up Sales Insights is to verify that your Salesforce org is connected in Data 360.

          Required Editions

          Available in: Lightning Experience
Available with Sales with the Agentforce for Sales Add-On license in: Enterprise, Performance, and Unlimited Editions and Agentforce 1 Edition in: Performance and Unlimited Editions.
          Permission Sets Needed
To set up Sales Insights: Sales Insights Admin
To manage Sales Insights: Tableau Included App Manager and Data Cloud Architect
To use Sales Insights: Tableau Next Limited Consumer and Data Cloud User

Data 360 must be enabled and set up in the org where you’re installing Sales Insights. If Data 360 is already enabled, you could already have a Salesforce CRM connection. In this case, use these steps to verify that your Salesforce org is connected.

          Important
Important Sales Insights currently supports only an internal Salesforce connection.
          1. On the Sales Insights setup page, at step 1, click Go to Setup.
          2. On the Data Cloud Setup page, click Connect an Org.
          3. Ensure that you have an internal Salesforce connection.
            1. If no connections are listed, click Connect. Then click Connect again for your Salesforce org. For more information, see Set Up a CRM Salesforce Org Connection
            2. If connections exist, make sure that you have a connection to the Salesforce org where you want to create Sales Insights. If you don’t, click New, then Connect to a Salesforce Org, and then Next. Follow the wizard instructions to complete the procedure.
Your Salesforce org is now connected as a data source and data action target.
          4. Return to the Sales Insights Setup page to continue setting up Sales Insights.
