Confirm with your sales operations team which metrics require currency formatting and which require plain number tracking.

          1. From Setup, go to Sales Planning.
          2. Open the sales plan you want to configure, or create one.
          3. In the Goal Settings panel, locate the Target Type field.
          4. Select the Target Type for the goal:
            • Currency—displays target values in your organization's corporate currency. Use for metrics, such as revenue or pipeline.
            • Quantity — displays target values as plain numbers. Use for metrics, such as new logos or leads generated.
          5. Save your changes.

Sales Planning applies the target type across Territory Planning, Quota Planning, and Segment & Targets views.

          Note
          Note

You can change the target type after you save the goal. In Segment & Targets, the goal display format is read-only. To change the format, go to the goal settings.
