          Designate an OAuth User

          Designate an OAuth User

Assign yourself or a colleague as the OAuth user. Sales Planning processes data management and optimizations through the OAuth user. That way, nobody’s affected during intensive system processing.

          Required Editions

Available in: both Salesforce Classic (not available in all orgs) and Lightning Experience
Available for an additional cost in: Enterprise, Performance, Unlimited, and Developer Editions with Sales Planning in English only, and only if you have Web Services API enabled
          User Permissions Needed
To designate an OAuth user: Sales Planning Admin permission set

Regardless of who creates and manages sales plans, Sales Planning processes that work through the OAuth user. The designated user requires access to Sales Planning and any Salesforce objects involved in the data import process, such as the Account and Contact objects.

          1. Familiarize yourself with the required permission set license and permission sets for the OAuth user in Roles, Permissions, and Allocations. Then add them for that user.
          2. To designate yourself as the OAuth user, log in to Salesforce. Or to designate a teammate, ask that teammate to log in to Salesforce.
Whomever you designate as the OAuth user completes the rest of this procedure.
          3. Click the Sales Planning Settings tab.
          4. Click Authorize.
