          Dependency on Salesforce Data Pipelines or CRM Analytics

          Sales Planning relies on Salesforce Data Pipelines or CRM Analytics for managing and querying data. Together, these capabilities help you see how rule changes affect assignment rules without waiting for asynchronous data processing. When you get started with Sales Planning, decide whether you’re going to use it with Data Pipelines or CRM Analytics.

          Sales Planning includes Data Pipelines by default but is subject to Data Pipelines limits for licenses and data shape. CRM Analytics requires an upgrade or separate purchase. This choice also determines which permission sets you assign to Sales Planning users.

          Permission Set Licenses and Permission Sets for Sales Planning

          Review the available permission sets for assigning roles, depending on whether you’re using Sales Planning with Data Pipelines or CRM Analytics.
