Create a Custom Report Type for Opportunity Commissions
If the default custom report type, Opportunities with Spiff Estimated Commission Data, that the Salesforce Spiff Commission Estimator provides doesn't suit your needs, create your own custom report type for commission reporting. Use Opportunity as the primary object and the Spiff Commission Data custom object as the secondary object.

User Permissions Needed
To create Salesforce report types:
(Salesforce) Manage Custom Report Types
Log in to Salesforce as an admin with the Spiff Commission Admin permission set.
From Setup, in the Quick Find box, enter Report Types, and then select Report Types.
Click New Custom Report Type, enter these details, and then click Next.
Primary Object
Opportunities
Report Type Label, Report Type Name, Description
Any value
Store in Category
Opportunities
On the Define Report Records Set page, click Click to relate another object.
From the Select Object dropdown menu, select Spiff Commission Data.
Save your changes.
The custom report type is available to use in reports.
