Set Up the Salesforce Spiff Commission Estimator
To get started with the Salesforce Spiff Commission Estimator for quotes or opportunities, install the managed package and assign permissions. Additional setup steps are required depending on whether you're configuring the estimator for quotes or opportunities.

To install the Salesforce Spiff Commission Estimator managed package, configure prerequisites and install the package from an installation link. - Give Users Access to Salesforce Spiff Commission Estimator
Assign the appropriate permission set license and permission sets to admins and reps who use the Salesforce Spiff Commission Estimator managed package. - Add the Commission Estimator Component to Record Details Pages
Add a component to record details pages for showing the Salesforce Spiff Commission Estimator. For quotes, add the component to the Salesforce CPQ Quote details page. For opportunities, add the component to the Opportunity details page. - Set Up API Access for the Salesforce Spiff Commission Estimator
To let the Salesforce Spiff Commission Estimator managed package work with data in Salesforce, generate Client ID and Client Secret security credentials in Spiff. Then, enter those credentials in Salesforce. - Configure Field Sets for the Salesforce Spiff Commission Estimator

Hide the custom fields of the Commission Response and Spiff Commission Data objects from admins who don’t have Salesforce Spiff Commission Admin permission set. - Configure Child Object Mappings for the Salesforce Spiff Commission Estimator
Update custom settings to add child object mappings. - Create a Payout Rule for the Salesforce Spiff Commission Estimator
In some cases, you can reuse the same payout rules in Salesforce Spiff Commission Estimator as you already use for regular commission payouts in Spiff. In other cases, create a separate payout rule specifically for estimations. For example, maybe you don't want to include a What-If? rule on rep commission statements or you configure the estimator for a different object than the regular commission payout rule uses. - Create a Payout Rule for the Quota Attainment Graph
The Commission Estimator window in the Salesforce Spiff Commission Estimator provides a bar graph that shows how much an estimated deal affects quota attainment.
