Handle Plan Changes Through Effective Dates for Users
Control when users start and stop getting statements for a plan by adding effective dates. Statements are generated indefinitely if no effective dates are added. Keep up with plan changes by updating Effective Until dates when needed. Remove a user from a plan by adding an Effective Until date.

Plan effective dates are important as they determine when commission statements start and stop
calculating for each user. Additionally, sometimes plan logic accesses these dates.
For data to remain clean and calculations to run correctly it’s important to enter
effective dates.
When a rep leaves the company or no longer needs to be assigned to a plan, set their effective
end date on any plans and teams to which they are assigned. Setting an effective
until date for a rep on a plan will result in commission no longer calculating for
that rep. If reps are assigned to other plans, their commission statement still
calculates for those remaining plans.
Select a plan from the Plans tab. Or in Designer, click Plan Assignments at the bottom of the plan.
Click Edit. Double-click the applicable user cell under Effective As Of or Effective Until and select a date.
Click Save.
