          Customizing Statements in Salesforce Spiff

          Customizing Statements in Salesforce Spiff

Admins can customize the information shown in rep statements in Salesforce Spiff. Modify the metrics that are included in statements, change display names, and add some fun to the experience with emoji. Every rep on the same plan has the same statement layout, so editing a statement for a rep applies changes to everyone on the plan.

          Required Editions

Available in: Enterprise, Unlimited, and Developer Editions
Available for an additional cost in: Professional Edition with Web Services API Enabled
          • Add and Edit Standard and Custom Statement Metrics
Help reps spend more time on sales and less time creating commission spreadsheets when you add useful metrics to their statements. Include standard and custom metrics, rearrange their order, and remove the ones you don’t need. Any calculations that you have previously created in Designer can be used as a metric card. Changes to metric cards apply to all statements on the same plan.
          • Add and Edit Payout Rule Metrics
Motivate reps by giving them insight into payout rules. Reps learn what deals to focus on at the end of the month or statement period when they see key metrics and data such as quarterly quota and commission. Changes to rule metrics apply to all statements on the same plan.
          • Hide Empty Metrics from a Rep’s Statement
Simplify the information shown in a statement in Salesforce Spiff so that sales reps and managers can focus on key details. If a statement metric doesn’t produce a value during the statement period, hide the metric so that the resulting statement shows only meaningful values.
          • Edit Tabs on a Lump-Sum Rule
Reduce disputes and questions when you give reps more detailed information on the data from various objects and data filters that are involved in a payout rule.
          • Update Metric and Field Display Names in Designer
Improve sales teams’ efficiency and effectiveness by showing reps metric and field names that make sense, instead of names created from commission logic. When reps can identify deal data easily, they can adjust their plans accordingly and with peace of mind.
          • Create a Calculation for a Custom Metric
Along with the default and pre-built metrics, you can add custom metrics to statements. Any calculations that you create in Designer can be used as a metric card.
          • Add Custom Text to Metric Cards
Personalize messages on rep statements that inform, inspire, and engage your team.
          • Add Tooltip Descriptions to Statement Metrics and Payout Rules
Help sales reps and managers better understand the information they see in Salesforce Spiff statements, and help Spiff admins deflect and resolve cases more efficiently. Add tooltip descriptions that explain metric tiles, key metrics and data, or obligations table columns. Edit the default, visible descriptions of certain payout rules.
          • Considerations for Adding Emoji to Statements
Enhance communication, simplify complex information, and create an engaging experience for your reps with emoji. Help reps be more productive by presenting information that’s informative and visually engaging on commission statements.
          • Best Practices for Managing Memory in Salesforce Spiff Statements
Calculation delays occur when the Salesforce Spiff takes too long to process a requested action. Statement processing can time out with errors, which are often related to large data filters, complex plan design, and inefficient rule structures.
          • Create a Custom Metric for the Aggregated Value Needed to Reach the Next Accelerator Tier
Boost motivation by showing reps how close they are to the next accelerator level. Create a custom metric that displays this information on their statements.
