Hide Empty Metrics from a Rep’s Statement

Hide Empty Metrics from a Rep’s Statement

Simplify the information shown in a statement in Salesforce Spiff so that sales reps and managers can focus on key details. If a statement metric doesn’t produce a value during the statement period, hide the metric so that the resulting statement shows only meaningful values.

          Required Editions

Available in: both Salesforce Classic (not available in all orgs) and Lightning Experience
Available in: Enterprise, Unlimited, and Developer Editions
Available for an additional cost in: Professional Edition with Web Services API Enabled
          User Permissions Needed
To edit metrics in a statement:

A Spiff user role with this permission turned on.

          Statements: Edit

          1. From a rep’s statement, click Edit.
          2. Click the three dots menu in one of these locations and select Add Tooltip Description.
            • Metric tile at the top of the statement
            • Key Metrics and Data card in a payout rule
          3. Save your changes and refresh the statement.

After you turn on this option, the tile or card shows a label, Hidden if null. This option is dynamic. If the tile or card has this option turned on, it’s hidden only during statement periods when there’s no value to show.

To turn off this option, click the three dots menu again and select Show Metric If Null.
