          Recalculating Commission Statements

          Recalculating Commission Statements

After a data import or change in plans or commission logic, you can manually recalculate individual or all unfrozen statements to get accurate commission amounts.

          Required Editions

Available in: both Salesforce Classic (not available in all orgs) and Lightning Experience
Available in: Enterprise, Unlimited, and Developer Editions
Available for an additional cost in: Professional Edition with Web Services API Enabled

All unfrozen statements are recalculated overnight or according to the custom sync recalculation schedule. In some cases, such as after a data import or change in plans or commission logic, manually recalculate statements for an accurate commission amount. Recalculate individual statements or recalculate all statements simultaneously. To recalculate all unfrozen statements for all users for all periods, click the Global Sync icon. To resync any new data from a connector simultaneously, select Sync Connectors & Recalculation.

To help make this process more efficient, we suggest you freeze statements at the end of the period after the amounts have been reviewed or approved and are ready to be paid. Freezing makes sure that the system isn’t recalculating historical statements that don’t need to be recalculated.

Or, to specify the period, plan, or rep to recalculate, click Calculate in Designer. To recalculate a rep statement, navigate to the rep statement by clicking the rep name in the Commissions table and click the Recalculate icon. See Admin View of a Rep Statement in Salesforce Spiff.

          Note
Note In Designer, all calculations execute on-demand in real time, so users can see immediate results. But Designer has limited processing time and larger or more complex calculations can result in a timeout error. Statements have different processing time limits, so to see quicker results for updated Designer calculations, you can try recalculating and refreshing a statement.
