            Add Area Attributes to Alignments

            Refine attribute data for areas when you import a .csv file into Territory Planning. For example, update area names, centers, owners, and assignments. Update multiple balance targets and geographic profiles at one time to optimize territory and rep assignments for in-person and remote customer visits.

            Required Editions

            Available in: both Salesforce Classic (not available in all orgs) and Lightning Experience
            Available in: Professional, Enterprise, Performance, Unlimited, and Developer Editions with Web Services API enabled
            User Permissions Needed
            To add attributes to alignments:

            Sales Planning Ops Analyst permission set

            AND

            Query for Datapipelines User for Sales Planning permission set

            AND

            SF Maps Territory Planning for Sales Planning permission set
            1. Prepare the attributes in your .csv file. Include an ID field, such as Area Name.
              Area name and new owner columns in a .csv file
            2. From an open alignment, click Settings | Attributes. Then at the area level, click Import from CSV.

            3. Upload the .csv file.

            4. Select columns in the .csv file that you want to import.
              Import attributes from a .csv file
              1. Select the column that represents the unique ID for each record.
              2. Select the other columns that you want to import, and click Match Fields.
              3. Select the data type for new attributes, and click Import.

            Territory Planning applies the updates to the alignment. New attributes appear with from CSV appended to their names.

            Tip
            Tip If any records fail to import, download the log file from the data import summary, fix the errors, and import the .csv file again. If all records import, no data import summary appears.
