            Create Territory Types

            Categorize and define individual territories. Creating territory types is the first step in building your territory model in Salesforce.

            Required Editions

            Available in: Salesforce Classic for some features and Lightning Experience for all features
            Available in: Performance and Developer Editions and in Enterprise and Unlimited Editions with Sales
            User Permissions Needed
            To create a territory type:

            View Setup and Configuration

            AND

            Manage Territories

            Examples of territory types you can create include Named Accounts, Direct Accounts, and Overlay Sales.

            1. From Setup, enter Territory Types in the Quick Find box, then select Territory Types.
            2. Click New Territory Type.
            3. Enter a label and a description. In your description, make sure that you clearly indicate what kinds of territories belong to that type.
            4. Specify a territory type priority.
            5. Click Save.
