Data Security for Microsoft Teams Integration with Einstein Conversation Insights
Data security is a top priority, and Einstein Conversation Insights
only processes call records made by authenticated Einstein Conversation Insights users. Meetings
are processed by Einstein Conversation Insights only if they are recorded by an ECI user and
include external participants based on domain name, or recorded meetings that include only a
single internal ECI user.

The Microsoft Teams integration with Salesforce utilizes the OnlineMeeting and OneDrive APIs, including the following user-level authorization scopes:
Calendars.Read: Enables access to the calendars of an ECI user.
email: View users' email addresses.
Files.Read: Enables access to the OneDrive folders of an ECI user to retrieve the
latest recording files.
offline: access: Maintain access to data you have given it access to.
OnlineMeetingArtifact.Read.All: Provides access to participant metadata from the
online meetings attended by an ECI user.
OnlineMeetings.Read: Allows access to metadata of the online meetings attended by
an ECI user.
OnlineMeetingTranscript.Read.All: Provides access to transcripts from the online
meetings attended by an ECI user.
openid: Sign users in.
profile: View user's basic profile.
User.Read: Sign in and read user profile.
The Microsoft Teams integration also utilizes the following app-level authorization scopes:
CallRecords.ReadAll: Allows access to the metadata of call records, and also
access the recording data associated with call records if they were recorded.
For Microsoft Teams, these authorizations are required to give Einstein Conversation Insights
access to recordings.
As with other recording providers, only call records made by authenticated ECI users are
processed internally. Microsoft Teams recordings are left on Teams servers and only
transcripts and insights processed by ECI are stored in Salesforce.
