          Manage Searchable Objects and Fields

Optimize search results and make search more efficient by excluding objects and fields that aren’t important to your users. You can manage searchable objects for each profile in global search and for Experience Cloud configurations. You can manage searchable custom fields for all configurations.

          Required Editions

Available in: Einstein Search in Lightning Experience
          User Permissions Needed
To use Search Manager: Customize Application AND View Setup
          1. From Setup, in the Quick Find box, enter Search Manager, and then select Query Configurations.
          2. Select the configuration that you want to edit.
You need a configuration to manage searchability. See Target a Search Configuration for a Channel.
          3. Edit searchable objects.
          4. Edit searchable fields.
            1. In the Objects list, select a searchable object. You can only edit searchable fields in searchable objects.
            2. Click the dropdown next to the field, and select Include in Search or Exclude from Search.
If the field has a Locked iconicon, it’s a locked standard field, and you can’t change its search state.
            3. Save your changes.

          Your changes apply automatically.

          Note
Note To enhance Einstein Search performance, searchability of custom objects that aren't searched for more than 120 days is disabled. To enable object and field searchability, contact your admin.
