Add Terms and Conditions Acceptance to your Pre-Chat Form
Inform your customers that you track or record conversation data, or share other
important information, by presenting your Terms and Conditions automatically through your pre-chat
form.
Note Terms and Conditions works with the default pre-chat component. If you add
custom LWC components to your pre-chat form, Terms and Conditions doesn’t
work.
From Setup, enter Embedded Service Deployments, and click
Embedded Service Deployments.
Click the arrow to the right of your chat deployment, and select
Edit.
On the Embedded Service Deployment Settings page, click to edit Chat Settings.
On the Chat Settings section of the Chat Settings page, click
Edit.
Under Terms and Conditions, select Show Terms and Conditions in
pre-chat and select Require users to accept Terms and Conditions before
chatting.
Save your changes.
On the Embedded Service Deployment Settings page, click to edit Additional branding.
Select Labels.
Select Pre-Chat from the Chat Status dropdown menu, and select
Terms and Conditions from the Label Group dropdown menu.
In the Customized Label field, customize a message that invites your customers to accept
your Terms and Conditions. Use this format: Please accept our [Terms and
Conditions]{https://example.com}.
Save your changes.
