          Choose Supported File Types for End Users in Enhanced Chat

          Choose which file types end users can send in Enhanced Chat, and customize the maximum file size limit.

          Customize the End User File Sharing Experience

          By default, Service reps can send 14 supported file types, each up to 5 MB, to end users. However, end users can send over 900 supported file types, each at a customizable file size maximum up to 5 MB, to service reps. Customize the end user experience to your business workflow.

          1. From Setup, in the Quick Find box, enter Messaging Settings, and then selectMessaging Settings.
          2. From the dropdown arrow to the right of your channel, select Edit.
          3. In the Attachments section, choose whether end users can share files, choose a maximum file size up to 5 MB, and search for or deselect your supported file types for end users.
          4. If you’re deploying this to Enhanced Web Chat:
            1. From Setup, in the Quick Find box, enter Embedded Service Deployments, and then select Embedded Service Deployments.
            2. From the dropdown arrow to the right of your deployment, select View.
            3. Click Publish.
          5. If you’re deploying this to Enhanced In-App Chat, the changes will appear if your SDK is on the latest version.

          Supported File Types for End Users

          End users can send the following file types to your business in Enhanced Chat. Files appear as an attachment, and service reps can then download the attachment to view it.

          Note We use magic byte validation to validate these files types using a 3rd party library. It’s possible that one of the file types listed below might not be detected by this library. We’ll do our best to monitor this and keep this library up to date.
