Create the Agent for Handling Service Resource Absences in the Legacy Agentforce Builder

Create the Agent for Handling Service Resource Absences in the Legacy Agentforce Builder

Now that you’ve created your flows, agent actions, and subagent, you’re ready to create your agent.

          Required Editions

          Available in: Lightning Experience
Available in: Enterprise, Performance, Unlimited, and Developer Editions with Field Service and Foundations, or Einstein 1 Field Service Edition or Agentforce 1 Field Service Edition.
          1. In Setup, find and select Agentforce Agents.
          2. Click New Agent.
          3. Select the Agentforce Employee Agent template and click Next.
          4. By default, the Agentforce Employee Agent template includes the General FAQ subagent. We recommend leaving this subagent in the template. Click Next.
          5. Optionally, select a data source to ground your agent's responses with the Answer Questions with Knowledge action, and then click Create. See Assign a Data Library to Your Agent.
          6. In Agentforce Builder, add the new subagent to the agent.
          7. When you're ready, activate your agent.

          Considerations:

          • Service resources can only use this process for reporting absences for the current day.
          • If a service resource reports an absence in the middle of the day, the agent logs the absence for the remaining hours of that day.
