You are here:
Create the Data Cloud Salesforce CRM Connection
To connect the CRM org, enable Data 360 and manually set up a connection.
Before you begin:
- First, set up a few things in both the Salesforce org you're connecting from and the one
you're connecting to.
- Configure your domain settings in both the source and target org.
- Enable API access to allow the two orgs to talk to each other.
- Add Salesforce's official IP addresses to your trusted list to ensure a secure connection. See Salesforce IP Addresses and Domains to Allow.
- Grant Data 360 permission to access your CRM data. See Configure User Permissions for an External Salesforce Org Connection in Data 360 and Enable Object and Field Permissions to Access Salesforce CRM in Data 360.
Data 360 is Already Enabled
If Data 360 is enabled with an existing Salesforce CRM connection, skip this step and go to Update the Connector Permissions.
Data 360 is Not Yet Enabled
Enable Data 360 in your Salesforce org before installing Asset Service Prediction. Refer to Salesforce CRM Connector for detailed instructions.
- In Setup, go to Asset Service Prediction. On the Create the Data Cloud Salesforce CRM Connection step, click Connect.
- Check that you have an internal Salesforce connection. No connections? Click Connect and then click Connect again for the Salesforce org.
Your Salesforce org is now connected as a data source.
