To use the capacity planning tool, FS Operations Home and Data 360 must be enabled. To learn more, see Field Service Operations Setup.
Relocate Service Resources
To reallocate service resources, click Adjust Territory Capacity. Select the Target Source Territory that needs additional technicians and the start and end dates. And then, click Next.
Adjust Service Territory Coverage
Assess the Current Capacity in the Target Territory and assign service resources.
- Review the total estimated work or demand within the service territory.
- Use the Service Territory and Skill Type searches to find the most suitable resources to meet the demand. As you select or deselect resources for relocation, the Surplus Capacity for the Target Service Territory is dynamically updated. A positive number indicates an excess of capacity, while a negative number would indicate a deficit.
- Check for any scheduling overlaps or other issues that might arise from relocating these resources during the specified period. Address any conflicts before proceeding.
- Review the capacity and identify the necessary resource movements or adjustments, and click Next.
Relocate Service Resources
Review the pending results of the relocation. When you’re satisfied with the reviewed changes and the projected impact on the service territories, click Save.
