Rename Interaction Labels and Components in Workforce Scheduling
Rename fields and labels in the interaction scheduling flow to match your organization's terminology. Use Rename Tabs and Labels to change object labels org-wide, and then clone the standard scheduling flow to update screen labels and stage names that the managed flow doesn't dynamically update.

| To rename object labels or update screen labels: | Workforce Scheduling Manager |
In this scenario, a user needs to schedule an in-office meeting between a service resource and a customer for a support review. The admin wants to customize the interaction details component so that "Account" displays as "Constituent," all occurrences of "Interaction" display as "Appointment," and "Interaction Attendees" displays as "Staff Members." After these changes, the scheduling flow reflects the organization's terminology instead of the default Salesforce labels.
Rename Object Labels
Rename Tabs and Labels changes object labels throughout the Salesforce UI, including tabs, related lists, field labels, and standard page layouts. Any change you make is reflected across the scheduling interface wherever the object name appears dynamically.
-
From Setup, in the Quick Find box, enter
Rename Tabs and Labels, and then select Rename Tabs and Labels. - Under Standard Tabs, find the object you want to rename, and then click Edit.
-
Enter the new label values.
-
Singular: The singular form of the new label (for example,
Staff Member). -
Plural: The plural form (for example,
Staff Members). - Starts With a Vowel Sound: Select if the new label starts with a vowel sound so that the UI displays "an" instead of "a."
-

- Click Save.
- Repeat steps 2-4 for each object you want to rename. For this example, rename Accounts to Constituents.
Label changes apply org-wide. Renaming "Accounts" to "Constituents," for example, affects every feature that references the Account object, not only the scheduling flow. For considerations and limitations, see Considerations for Renaming Tab and Field Labels.
Update Screen Labels in a Cloned Flow
Standard Workforce Scheduling flows are managed and can't be edited directly. To customize screen labels, stage names, or component display text, clone the flow first.
-
From Setup, in the Quick Find box, enter
Flows, and then select Flows. - Open the scheduling flow you want to customize (for example, Schedule Appointment).
- Click Save As New Flow to create an editable copy.
- Enter a label and description for the cloned flow, and then click Save.
- Open a screen element that you want to rename (for example, Add Appointment Details), and then update Label to the new name.
- To rename a stage in the progress bar, select the screen element, expand Stage, and update the stage name.
- Repeat steps 5-6 for each screen and stage you want to rename.
- Click Save, and then click Activate.
- Replace the original flow reference in the quick action or button with the cloned flow so that users see the updated labels when they schedule appointments.
Clone a flow before making changes to ensure you don't make unintended modifications to an already functional flow. For additional flow customization options, see Customize the Appointment Booking Experience.
