Get Started with the Scheduling Console

The Scheduling Console is the new dispatching workspace for Field Service, built to replace the Classic Dispatch Console. The two consoles can coexist during the transition period, giving you time to migrate before the Classic Dispatch Console is retired.

          Required Editions

          Available in: Lightning Experience
The Field Service core features, managed package, and mobile app are available in Enterprise, Unlimited, and Developer Editions.

Package icon This is a Field Service managed package feature.

          Important
Important The Scheduling Console is available only when you’re using Enhanced Scheduling and Optimization. It doesn't support Government Cloud environments.

          Layout

The Scheduling Console brings the Gantt, service appointment list, and map together into a single workspace. The map can be displayed alongside the Gantt or detached into a separate browser tab or window.

Dispatchers can duplicate the console tab to set up a multi-screen configuration — using one window for the Gantt, another for the service appointment list, and the map in a separate tab on a third monitor.

Dispatchers can drag and drop service appointments across monitors — from the service appointment list to the Gantt, or from the map to the Gantt — to schedule or reschedule appointments without leaving their workspace.

Resizable separators between the Gantt, service appointment list, and map let dispatchers adjust the layout to fit their workflow.

          Gantt

The following Gantt features are available in the Scheduling Console or coming in a future release.

Service Appointment Side Panel Green Checkmark

Enhanced from the Classic Dispatch Console.

Replaces the lightbox displayed over the Gantt in the Classic Dispatch Console, which was configured via field sets, with an LWC-based side panel.

A default Lightning page is automatically created based on the existing field set configuration. Admins can edit the default page or create their own in Lightning App Builder.

See Service Appointment Side Panel in Features of the Scheduling Console.

          Gantt Label Details Green Checkmark
