Use the Field Service Operations Setup page to walk through the prerequisites, and then install Field Service Operations.

          Permission Sets Needed
To manage Data 360: Data Cloud Admin permission set
To use Tableau Next: Tableau Next Limited Consumer
To manage Agentforce Service (formerly Service Cloud): Service Cloud User permission set
To install Field Service Intelligence: Field Service Intelligence Admin permission set
To use Field Service Intelligence: Field Service Intelligence User permission set
          Note
Note To start these steps, Data 360 must be enabled and setup. For more information, see Set Up and Maintain Data 360.

From Setup, in the Quick Find box, enter Field Service Operations, and then select Field Service Operations. This setup page leads you through everything you need to do for the successful installation of Field Service Operations.

As you progress through the setup steps, refresh the page to update the steps that are complete.

Step 1: Create a Data 360 Salesforce Connection

Before installing the Field Service data kit and Field Service Operations, connect Data Cloud to your Salesforce org.

          1. On the Field Service Operations setup page, click Connect for the Create the Data Cloud Salesforce CRM Connection step.
          2. Ensure you have an internal Salesforce connection.
            1. If no connections are listed, click Connect. Then click Connect again for the Salesforce org.
            2. If connections exist, make sure that you have a connection to the Salesforce org. If you don’t, click New and then click Connect for the Salesforce org.

Your Salesforce org is now connected as a data source and data action target.

          Note
Note To customize access to Data 360 objects used by Field Service Operations, grant object access according to your chosen Data Governance policy. If you have more than one data space, you must grant access to objects in each data space. Object names in non-default data spaces follow the convention of <DataSpace Prefix>_<Object Name>. For help, see Assign Data Access.

          Step 2: Enable Service Features

To install the Field Service data kit, you need to enable certain Agentforce Service (formerly Service Cloud) features, even if they're not currently in use for your operations.

On the Field Service Intelligence setup page, click Enable for the Enable Service Cloud Features step.

          These features are automatically enabled.

          • Email Drafts
          • Email-to-Case
          • Omni-Channel
          • Skills-Based Routing
          • Surveys

          Step 3: Assign Permission Sets

Assign the Tableau Next Limited Consumer and Data Cloud Admin Permission Sets.

          Note
Note The system permissions may already be enabled, making these steps a checklist.
          1. From Setup, in the Quick Find box, enter users, and then select Permission Sets.
          2. Assign the Tableau Next Limited Consumer and Data Cloud Admin permission sets.
          3. Click Save.

Step 4: Install the Field Service Data Kit

The Field Service data kit includes the Field Service data bundle and provides the necessary data streams, data model objects, and data mappings for Field Service Operations and Field Service Intelligence dashboards.

          Install the Service Data Kit

          Note
Note If you already have the Field Service data kit installed, reinstall it to ensure that it’s up to date. Upgrading the data kit is necessary to access the latest enhancements to Field Service Intelligence.
          1. Click the Setup gear icon and then select Data Cloud Setup.
          2. Under Configuration, select Salesforce CRM.
          3. Find the Field Service Cloud bundle, and click the menu button on the right. Select Install.
          4. In the Package Install flow, follow the standard process for installing a package.

To view the data kit details, go to Data Cloud Setup. Under Tools, select Data Kits and then click ServiceDK.

When you install the Field Service data kit in Data 360, all of the Field Service data mappings are created. When you install Field Service Operations, Data 360 data is ingested and Field Service data model objects are created for visualization in Tableau Next dashboards.

Set Up Service Data in Data 360

          1. In Data Cloud, go to the Data Streams tab and click New.
          2. Select the Salesforce CRM connected data source and click Next.
          3. Select your connected Salesforce org.

If you have only one Salesforce org connected to Data 360, it’s selected by default.

          4. Select Data Bundles, then select the following bundles:
            • Service data bundle
            • Field Service Related bundle
            • Field Service Core bundle
          5. Click Next.
          6. Select the default data space and click Next.

The installed objects and fields are displayed. Don’t remove the data objects, fields, or mappings because Field Service Intelligence relies on the standard installation to populate the dashboards correctly.

          7. Click Deploy

The Field Service data bundle deploys data streams. The Data Streams tab displays the progress. When the data streams show an Active status, you’re ready to continue.

From the Setup menu, installed versions of Field Service Intelligence display as separate tabs. To view details about the app installation, select an app tab. The app details include the installation status, a list of installation events, and the tasks for each event. You can schedule app refreshes or refresh manually and see details of all the installed app resources like dashboards and data transforms.

          Note
          Note

As of October 14, 2025, Data Cloud has been rebranded to Data 360. During this transition, you may see references to Data Cloud in our application and documentation. While the name is new, the functionality and content remains unchanged.

          Step 5: Enable Analytics

To use Field Service Intelligence, enable analytics and set up permissions.

          1. On the Field Service Intelligence setup page, click Assign to assign permissions.
This step assigns the admin permission sets to your user.
          2. Go back to the Field Service Intelligence setup page and click Enable for the Enable Analytics step.

Step 6: Install Field Service Operations

After Field Service data is ingested into Data 360 and Analytics is enabled, you’re ready to install Field Service Operations.

          1. On the Field Service Operations Setup page, click Start for the Install and Enable Field Service Intelligence step.
Field Service Operations checks whether your org includes the data and settings to transform the data model objects and create the dashboards and components. If you receive an error message, follow the instructions and then restart the installation process.
          2. Complete the Field Service Operations installation.
            1. Give your instance a unique, easily recognizable name.
            2. Leave the log level as is, unless you require more information about the Field Service Operations installation.
            3. Select Scheduled and choose which hours and days to refresh Field Service Intelligence.
          3. Click Install.
Installing Field Service Operations can take a few minutes. To check the status, go to the App Install History page in Setup.

After Field Service Operations is successfully installed, assign the Tableau Einstein Included App Business User Permission Set to any users who need access to the dashboards.

To access Field Service Intelligence dashboards, go to the App Launcher and search for Field Service Operations. Click Field Service Operations to open it.

Step 7: Update Field Service Permissions for Users

Assign the Tableau Einstein Included App Business User and Data Cloud User permission sets to users who view the dashboards.

          1. From Setup, in the Quick Find box, enter Users, and then select Permission Sets.
          2. Search for the Tableau Einstein Included App Business User and Data Cloud User permission sets, and enable them for analytics users.
