Set the required access and system settings needed for confidential case reporting.

Configure the Case Object Record Type
Set up the required confidential case type to route sensitive employee reports.
- From Setup, in the Quick Find box, enter and select Object Manager.
- Click the Case object.
- Go to Fields & Relationships.
- Select the Type field.
- Under Case Type Picklist Values, click New.
- Add the new picklist value Confidential.
- Save your changes.
When managing an environment that uses languages other than English, override and manually update the flow so the picklist values match your local language.
Configure the Public Complaint Object Record Type
Set up the required confidential case type to route sensitive employee reports.
- From Setup, in the Quick Find box, enter Object Manager.
- Click the Public Complaint object.

Go to Fields & Relationships.
- For Type: Select the Type field. Under Type Picklist Values, click New. Add the new picklist value Confidential. Save your changes.
- For Subtype: Select the Subtype field. Under Subtype Picklist Values, click New and add subtype picklist values as required. Save your changes.
Create a Confidential Case Report
Create this report so authorized HR or Legal personnel can monitor all submitted confidential cases.
- Go to the Reports tab.
- Click New Report.
- Select the Cases report type and click Start Report.
- In the Report Builder, go to the Filters pane.
- Add a filter for the Type field.
- Set the filter by selecting Field as Type, Operator as Equals, and Value as Confidential.
- Apply the filter.
- Save and run the report.
Implement Sharing Rules for Public Complaint Records
Create a public group for authorized HR personnel and set up a sharing rule to restrict visibility of sensitive complaints to only those users.
