Create Employee Users for the Employee Services Portal
Create the employee users who sign in to the Employee Services portal site, using either the Unified Employee License or the Customer Community Plus license.

Create Users with the Unified Employee License
Note We recommend the Unified Employee License for all portal users, regardless of which
template your site uses. To move your existing Customer Community Plus users, see Migrate Customer Community
Plus Users to Unified Employee License.
Follow the steps in Set
Up Employees for IT Services to create your employee users with the Unified Employee
License and add them as members of your portal site.
Create Users with the Customer Community Plus License

Create new employee users with the Customer Community Plus license as follows, and migrate to the Unified Employee License when you're ready.

Create a user profile.
- From Setup, in the Quick Find box, enter Profiles, then select Profiles.
- Find the Customer Community Plus User profile and clone it.
- Enter a name for the new profile, such as Employee Customer Profile.
- Save your changes.

In the new profile, find Standard Object Permissions and select
Read and View All Fields access for the
Knowledge object.
These permissions make sure employees can see knowledge articles in the Agentic Center.

Create an employee.
- From the App Launcher, find and select Employees.
- Click New, add the employee details, and click OK.
- On the employee's person account record page, from Quick Actions, select Enable Customer User.

Configure user details.
- On the setup page for the user, set the User License to Customer Community Plus.
- In the Profile field, select the profile you created earlier.
- Save your changes.

Assign permission sets to the user.
- On the setup page for the user, under Permission Set Assignments, click Edit Assignments.
- Move the required permission sets to the Selected list, and save your changes.

Make the employee user profile a member of the Employee Services portal you created.
- From Setup, in the Quick Find box, enter Sites, and select All Sites under Digital Experiences.
- Find your site and under the Action tab, click Workspaces.
- Click Administration, and then click Members.
- Under Select Profiles, switch to All from the Search drop-down menu.
- Add the profile you created earlier for the Employee Services portal to the Selected Profiles list.
- Save your changes.
- Click Settings.
- Activate the site.
The employee receives a login link and username information in the email you provided. They can create a new password and log in to the portal by using their credentials.
