Create Knowledge Article Relationships
Build parent-child hierarchy for your knowledge articles.

- From the App Launcher, open Knowledge Article Relationships.

On the Knowledge Article Relationships page, click New to create a
knowledge article relationship.
If you’ve many existing articles, use Data Manipulation Language (DML) to create knowledge article relationships in bulk. But make sure you add them iteratively to maintain the order of the articles. Learn how to use DML in Tailhead: Apex Basics & Database.
- On the New Knowledge Article Relationship page, select the child article, the parent article, and enter a name for the article relationship.
- To set the article as a root parent article or the absolute parent, which is at the top-most level in the hierarchy, select Set as Root Article.
- Save your changes.
Similarly, create knowledge article relationships for all the articles in your knowledge base.
To reassign articles to a different parent, select the articles and click Reassign Parent. On the Reassign Parent Article page, select the new parent article, specify the order, and select Reassign.
To delete a knowledge article relationship, go the Knowledge Article Relationships page, select the relationship, and select Delete from the Action menu. The knowledge articles will restructure automatically. However, if you immediately undo the deletion, the relationship restores, but the order of the child articles isn't restored. You will need to manually reorder the child articles.
