Set Visibility for the Supervisor Tab Through Profiles
The Chat supervisor panel is your supervisors’ one-stop shop for finding information
about their organizations’ chat buttons and chat agents. Make the Chat supervisor tab
visible to users who are assigned to specified profiles.
Legacy Chat will be retired on February 14, 2026. To avoid service interruptions to your
end users, switch to enhanced Chat (formerly Messaging for In-App and Web). Enhanced Chat
offers many of the legacy Chat features that you love plus asynchronous
conversations that can be picked back up at any time. Learn about migrating in Help and Trailhead.
From Setup, enter Profiles in the Quick Find box, then
select Profiles.
Click Edit next to the profile that you want to give
access to the supervisor tab.
Set the visibility of the Chat supervisor tab to Default
On.
Click Save.
After you give your users permission to access the Chat supervisor tab, set up access
to the Chat supervisor panel in the Salesforce console.
