- Make sure that you have the Salesforce CRM Content User feature license.
- Enable the Salesforce CRM Content User license for the service rep.
- Temporarily switch to Classic UI.
- From Setup, enter Content Permissions, and select Content Permissions.
- Decide which content permission will allow a service rep to set public linking on an asset file, and click Edit.
- Select Deliver Content.
- Save your changes.
- Switch back to Lightning Experience.
- From the App Launcher, search for Files, and select Files.
- Select Libraries.
- Click Asset Library.
- Click Manage Members.
- Ensure that the service rep is listed and assigned the role that you gave the Deliver Content permission to in steps 5 and 6. If they’re not listed, add them, and select the role that you gave Deliver Content permission to in steps 5 and 6. This service rep can now create public links for asset files.
- The service rep can test this by clicking the downward arrow that corresponds to their asset file in the Asset Library, and selecting Public Link.
