          SMS short code channels (US & Canada) require:

          • Short Codes add-on for Digital Engagement, or
          • Salesforce Message Credits - SMS (1,000) for Agentforce Contact Center Digital, and country-specific lease and setup licenses. SMS message credit requirements apply starting March 27, 2026, with additional updates on May 1, 2026.

          SMS long code and toll-free channels require:

          • Digital Engagement add-on, or
          • Salesforce Message Credits - SMS (1,000) for Agentforce Contact Center Digital, and country-specific lease, setup, brand, and campaign licenses (vary by code type). SMS message credit requirements apply starting March 27, 2026, with additional updates on May 1, 2026.

          Not supported in Government Cloud Plus or Trailhead playgrounds.

          Bring Your Own Channel for Messaging and Bring Your Own Channel for CCaaS Available in Lightning Experience Available in Enterprise, Unlimited, and Developer editions for Service or Sales with the Digital Engagement add-on with Partner Messaging or the Agentforce Contact Center Digital add-on with Partner Messaging.
