          Important
Important When you bulk update messaging channel settings, double-check for any errors in the CSV file. If you update a setting incorrectly, it can impact the service reps and customers using Messaging. Salesforce isn’t responsible for any errors that you make in your uploaded file.

Step 1: Download the Channel Settings CSV File

Download a CSV file containing the settings of your current messaging channels. After you download the file, you can edit it.

          1. From Setup, in the Quick Find box, enter Messaging Settings and select Messaging Settings.
          2. Click Channel List.
          3. From Channel Type, select the type of channels that you want to update: All, Apple Messages for Business, Facebook Messenger, LINES, SMS, or WhatsApp.
The CSV file will include all active enhanced channels of that type.
          4. The File Type is set to CSV and can’t be changed.
          5. Click Downloadto download the CSV file.

Step 2: Edit Your CSV File

Edit the downloaded CSV file to update channel settings. After your file is ready, you upload it to Salesforce for the changes to be processed.

Step 3: Upload Modified Channel Settings CSV File

Upload the CSV file containing your updated channel settings. Use only the downloaded CSV from the previous section to update and upload.

          1. From Setup, in the Quick Find box, enter Messaging Settings and select Messaging Settings.
          2. Click Bulk Update. Re-read the guidance and refer to the documentation. It's important that you understand and implement all guidance.
          3. Click Upload File and select your CSV file.
          4. Click Submit to upload the file.

Salesforce starts processing the file. After the processing is complete, you get an email with the number of records that have passed and failed. You can use the Error Description column in the CSV attached to the email to resolve the errors. After you fix the errors, use the downloaded CSV again to upload only the records that you resolved.
