Create Long Code SMS Channels in Service Cloud (International)
If you're outside of the US and Canada, you'll need to submit the number request form to register a ten-digit long code number for a new SMS channel.

Note If enabled, the Agentforce Brand Registration Assistant can help validate and process the
10DLC brand registration information that is input. This tool uses generative AI, which is known

Important Standard SMS channels were retired on February 14, 2026. To avoid service
interruptions, upgrade your standard SMS channels to enhanced channels now. Enhanced SMS offers
many of the standard SMS features you
love plus session transfers and AI agent support. See Upgrading from Standard to Enhanced Messaging.

- Complete the steps in Get Started with Messaging in Service Cloud.
- From Setup, in the Quick Find box, enter Messaging Settings, and select Messaging Settings.
- Click New SMS Code.
- Select a country. Long Code Internationals gets automatically selected for Code Type.

Click Next.
The International Long Code window appears.
- Enter the required details and select the quantity of codes required.

Click Next.
The Request Internal Numbers window appears.

Click Download Number Order Form to download the number request
form.
This form is different for each country based on the country's policies.
- Fill the number request form with the required details and upload it.

Click Submit.
The number registration process completes and you will receive an email from messagingregistration@salesforce.com. If you don’t receive an email, check your spam folder.
After you receive the email and the status of your SMS code request changes to Ready or Completed, convert the SMS code to SMS channel and activate the channel.
The email wait time varies by country. See this table for an estimate.
