Add Service Appointment Bundling to the Field Service Mobile App

Add Service Appointment Bundling to the Field Service Mobile App

To give mobile workers access to the bundled service appointments in the Field Service mobile app, you update the service appointment layout and add field permissions for mobile users.

          Required Editions

Available in: both Salesforce Classic (not available in all orgs) and Lightning Experience
The Field Service core features, managed package, and mobile app are available in Enterprise, Unlimited, and Developer Editions.
To access the Field Service mobile app, users need the Field Service Mobile user license.

Watch the video to see how grouping short appointments at nearby or same-site locations to create a bundle helps you and your customers.

          • Add the Appointment Bundling Related List to Service Appointments
In new Salesforce orgs, the Bundle Member Service Appointments related list appears in the service appointment’s Related tab. In existing orgs, you add the Bundle Member Service Appointments related list and its properties to the service appointment layout.
          • Add Field Permissions for Mobile Users
Give mobile users read access to fields on the Service Appointment object.
          • Show or Hide the Bulk Status Change Icon for Bundled Service Appointments
Control the visibility of the Bulk Status Change icon for bundled Service Appointments in the Field Service mobile app to prevent data sync errors. Using a single action to manage multiple appointments can sometimes lead to synch queue problems if some appointments fail validation. Disabling this icon requires mobile workers to review and update the status of each appointment individually, which helps prevent potential sync issues.
