            Enhance Productivity with the Cache First Policy

            The Cache First policy in the Field Service mobile app improves data load speed and performance for record details screens and related lists. This update replaces the previous online preferred policy, making the app faster and more accurate if you’re using Lightning Data Service.

            Required Editions

            Available in: Lightning Experience in Enterprise, Unlimited, and Developer Editions.
            Important
            Important Cache First is a gated, opt-in feature. Contact Salesforce Customer Support to enable this feature.

            Key Benefits of Cache First

            Check out some of the key benefits of Cache First.

            • Enhanced Performance in Low Connectivity: Ensures smooth and fast app performance, even in areas with poor network connectivity.
            • Faster Navigation: Loads data from the cache first, allowing users to quickly access the Work Order Overview without waiting for network calls.
            • Improves mobile app performance on native record details and related lists screens.
            • Seamless Updates: Simultaneously fetches fresh data in the background and updates the view if new information is available.

            Considerations and Limitations

            • Cache First only works after priming is complete and for data queries from cache data.
            • If the user hasn’t run priming in the last 7 days, this feature will be disabled until priming is complete.
            • Cache First works for record detail screens and related lists, but doesn’t work for the schedule lists, LWCs, flows, or quick actions.
