In-App Profile Settings in the Field Service Mobile App

In-App Profile Settings in the Field Service Mobile App

Click the gear icon in the top right-hand corner of the Profile tab to view pending uploads, manage linked accounts, and provide feedback to Salesforce about the app.

          Required Editions

Available in: both Salesforce Classic (not available in all orgs) and Lightning Experience
The Field Service core features, managed package, and mobile app are available in Enterprise, Unlimited, and Developer Editions.
To access the Field Service mobile app, users need the Field Service Mobile user license.

          View pending uploads

The upload queue shows pending uploads that the app sends to your org when internet access is restored. Each upload represents individual changes to records that the user has made in the order that they made them. If an upload in the queue encounters an error, the queue pauses until the error is resolved. To delete a pending upload, swipe it left and confirm the deletion.

          Manage linked accounts

In the account management section, you can log out from your current user profile or log in with a different account.

          Give feedback

Tap the feedback button to share your feedback about the app with Salesforce. Your Salesforce admin doesn’t receive the feedback you submit.

          Advanced Settings: Clear Cached Metadata

To refresh all metadata from the server, tap Clear Cached Metadata. Use this action if the app is reacting slowly or behaving unexpectedly. This action doesn’t touch customer data.

When the cache is cleared, any changes that the admin made in these items are erased.

          • Page, search, or compact layouts
          • Fields and relationships for objects
          • Field service mobile settings
          • Themes
          • Feature flags
          • List views for inventory
          • Quick actions
          • Flows
          • App extensions

Clearing the cache is also useful when the admin is developing a Lightning web component (LWC). Clear the cache to remove old caches and to retrieve the latest data for any changes made on the LWC.

After clearing the cache, close the app and make sure that it isn’t running in the background. For iOS devices, see instructions on how to close an app. For Android devices, see instructions on stopping apps working in the background.

You can then reopen the app to carry on working.

          Advanced Settings: Flow Refresh

To immediately refresh the flow metadata from the server, tap Flow Refresh.

          Advanced Settings: Preferred Email App

(iOS only) To choose your favorite email app to send emails, tap Email App, and select your preferred app.
