          Rate Limits for Enhanced Chat

          Before starting your setup process, review the rate limits for Enhanced Chat.

          Rate Limits

          These rate limits apply to Enhanced Chat:

          What Description Limit Notes
          Access token requests Maximum number of requests for access tokens per minute. 200 requests per minute per org Access tokens are requested when you call setIdentityToken() when user verification is enabled, or when clicking the Chat button when user verification isn’t enabled.
          Renew Token Maximum number of requests to renew a token per minute. 200 requests per minute per org Renew token is used for Enhanced web Chat when user verification is enabled and the user’s Authorization token has expired. The Renew token is used in Enhanced In-App Chat to renew the token regardless of whether User Verification is enabled or not.
          Start Conversation Maximum number of conversation start requests per 30 seconds. 3 per page per 30 seconds For each page or mobile app, the number of times a conversation can be started.
          Messages per minute Maximum inbound messages (from the end user to the service rep) allowed per minute per conversation. 22 messages per conversation per minute  
          File sent per minute Maximum files sent by an end user to the service rep per conversation per minute. 12 per conversation per minute  
          Transcript Downloads Maximum number of times a file transcript can be requested per conversation. 3 times per conversation per hour
