Before you configure Service Appointment Lifecycle, make sure that you meet these requirements.

          • Field Service is enabled.
          • The Platform Integration User has the Manage Service Appointment Lifecycle and the View Service Appointment Lifecycle permissions.
          1. From Setup, in the Quick Find box, enter Field Service Settings, and then select Field Service Settings. Under the Service Appointment Lifecycle section, select Track the lifecycle of service appointments, and then save your changes.
          2. Assign users the Field Service Dispatcher permission set. See Assign Field Service Permissions.
          3. Add the Service Appointment Lifecycle Lightning web component to the service appointment record page.
            Note
Note If you customized the layout of the service appointment record page, you must add the Service Appointment Lifecycle component. If you didn’t customize the layout, the component is available by default.
            1. From the object management settings for service appointments, go to Lightning Record Pages.
            2. Select the Lightning record page that you want to add the Service Appointment Lifecycle component to, and then click Edit.
            3. In Lightning App Builder, from the Tabs component properties, add a tab and name it Service Appointment Lifecycle. See Add and Customize Tabs.
            4. To add the Service Appointment Lifecycle component to a tab, select the tab on the canvas and then drop the component directly below it.
              Note
Note Add a Service Appointment Lifecycle tab as described in this step. However, you can also drag the component to any location on the Lightning record page.
            5. Save your work and activate the Lightning record page.

Review these considerations for Service Appointment Lifecycle.

          • Service appointment lifecycle activity information is automatically deleted from the database after 30 days.
          • Each change is registered with the user who invoked it. This can be a dispatcher, a mobile worker, or an Agentforce agent. If an activity is a scheduled job, it’s registered with the System Administrator user who configured it.
