            Create Contact Center Connectivity from Lambda Function

            If you have added the UpdateCredentialRole attribute in the contact center definition file, use the Update Key option in the Contact Center details page to update the JWT key. If you haven't added the UpdateCredentialRole attribute in the contact center definition file, you must generate a self-signed sertificate with OpenSSL and update the contact center definition file based on the value.

            Next, save your private key to the AWS Parameter Store if you’re using contact center version 18 and earlier. For version 19 and later, save your secrets in the AWS Secrets Manager.

            This article applies to:

            • Service Cloud Voice with Partner Telephony from Amazon Connect
            • Generate a Self-Signed Certificate with OpenSSL
              Use OpenSSL to generate an RSA private key and two certificates. You need one certificate to set up a secure connection between Amazon Connect and Salesforce and another certificate for the REST API integration. Repeat the steps to create both certificates. After generating the certificates, update your contact center definition file based on the certificate value if you've manually integrated your contact center.
            • Save Your Private Key in AWS Account
              If you’re using contact center version 19 and later, save your private key from your self-signed certificate in the AWS Secrets Manager. For contact center versions 18 and earlier, add the private key to the AWS Parameter Store.
