Student Success Hub Entity Relationship Diagrams

See how Student Success Hub, EDA, K-12 Architecture Kit, and Salesforce standard objects relate.

Get familiar with the relationships between the objects and entities in Student Success Hub by reviewing the relationships in the diagrams. To learn more about the Student Success Hub data model, use Schema Builder, the visual inspection tool in Setup. When implementing Student Success Hub, consider the entire Education Data Architecture (EDA) and K-12 Architecture Kit data models because they represent the 360-degree view of a student. For more information, see EDA Entity Relationship Diagram and K-12 Architecture Kit Entity Relationship Diagram.

Student Success Hub K-12 Entity Relationships

In K-12 orgs, Student Success Hub extends the Contact-centered data model used by K-12 Architecture Kit.

Every student Contact is related to a single Case that represents the entirety of a student's interactions, activities, and assigned support staff. A Case is a standard Salesforce object, customized to serve as the Student Record Case. This Student Record Case has a related success team, Tasks, Success Plans, Alerts, and more. Student Success Hub also uses Case Team Members, Case Team Roles, and standard Task and Event objects.

Student Success Hub Higher Ed Entity Relationships

In higher ed orgs—or any org licensed and configured for student users and Experience Cloud sites—Student Success Hub uses EDA as the foundation of the same Contact-centered data model.

In this model, student Contact is related to a single Case that represents the entirety of a student's interactions, activities, and assigned support staff. In higher ed orgs, a Student Record Case can be related to success teams, Tasks, Success Plans, Alerts, Appointments, Support Pools, and to the objects used by Pathways, the degree-planning tool.
