Salesforce Pricing Setup for Work Order Estimation
Before you use the Work Order Estimation feature, it’s essential to set up Salesforce Pricing.

Ensure you’re familiar with Salesforce Pricing and foundational concepts such as Context Definition before configuration. For a comprehensive understanding of pricing concepts, see Salesforce Pricing.
Additionally, verify that all requirements specified in the Work Order Estimation Licenses and Permissions have been met.
If Salesforce Pricing isn’t set up, the Work Order Estimation feature uses the default pricing, and coverage-based discounts aren’t applied.
If you have already set up Salesforce Pricing for Work Order Estimation, then follow these steps:
- From the App Launcher, find and select Pricing Procedures.
- Open Work Order Est Default Pricing Procedure. The Pricing Procedure Builder opens in a new tab.
- Deactivate the active pricing procedure version.
- Go to the Setup section and set the Start Date Time to two days earlier.
- Save your changes.
- On the Work Order Est Default Pricing Procedure page, click Edit.
- In the Context Definition, select WorkEstimationCoveragesContext.
- Save your changes.
- Open Work Order Est Default Pricing Procedure. The Pricing Procedure Builder opens in a new tab.
- Click Activate.
- Locate Default Context Definition for Work Order Estimation
Identify the context definition associated with the Industry Field Service Asset Service Lifecycle Management license. - Create and Configure Decision or Lookup Tables for Coverage-Based Pricing for Work Order Estimation
Create Decision or lookup tables and select the objects or the custom metadata type that contains the pricing rules. - Set up Pricing Recipes for Work Order Estimation
Add pricing recipes and associate data from selected objects with lookup tables. - Modify Price Adjustment Matrices for Work Order Estimation
Use Price adjustment matrices to define the different discounts that you apply to a product. - Configure Pricing Procedure for Work Order Estimation
Pricing procedures use pricing elements where each element forms a step in a pricing procedure. - Configure Pricing Elements in a Pricing Procedure for Work Order Estimation
Pricing elements are the building blocks of a pricing procedure. Add these pricing elements to configure the pricing procedure.
