Enable Backups in Salesforce

After configuring your backup settings, enable backups for your org and run your first backup.

Required Editions

Available in: Lightning Experience
Available in: Professional, Enterprise, Performance, and Unlimited Editions with the Backup & Recover Data and Backup & Recover Files add-on licenses
User Permissions Needed
To enable backups: Run Backup
  1. In Salesforce Backup & Recover Next, click the Backups tab.
  2. Click Start Backing Up Now.

Your initial backup starts immediately and, when complete, backups continue to run daily.
