Set up exclusion rules to customize and optimize your backup strategy. These rules
define which Salesforce objects to exclude from backups, minimizing backup time and ensuring that
backups only include essential data. Also use these rules to exclude data from your backup to
conform with data security policies.

Unlimited Editions with the Backup & Recover Data and Backup & Recover Files

User Permissions Needed
To exclude objects from a backup:
Manage Backup Exclusions
In Salesforce Backup & Recover Next, click the Settings
tab.
From the navigation bar on the left, click Backup Exclusions.
Click Add Rule.
From the Type dropdown, select Object.
Search for the object in the Name field.
Select a reason for the exclusion.
Click Add.
The selected object is added to the Backup Exclusion list.
