            Assign the Salesforce Backup & Recover Next Permissions

            Use Backup & Recover Next permissions so that users can run backups, configure specific settings, and run Backup & Recover Next activities. Assign them to profiles or permission sets to give your users the specific permissions that they need in Backup & Recover Next.

            Required Editions

            Available in: Lightning Experience
            Available in: Professional, Enterprise, Performance, and Unlimited Editions with the Backup & Recover Data and Backup & Recover Files add-on licenses
            User Permissions Needed
            To assign permission sets:

            Assign Permission Sets

            AND

            View Setup and Configuration

            A permission set that grants all the Backup & Recover Next permissions is available for users. To assign access:

            1. From Setup, in the Quick Find Box, enter Users, and select Users. Then select the user that you want to grant admin access to Salesforce Backup & Recover Next.
            2. From Permission Set Assignments, click Edit Assignments.
            3. Under Available Permission Sets, select BackupRecoverSuperAdmin, click Add and then save.

            These permissions are only available with Salesforce Backup & Recover Next.

            Permission Use
            Manage Backup Policy Enable the backup policy.
            Manage Backup Exclusions Add or remove exclusion rules.
            Manage Backup of Files and Attachments Include or exclude files and attachments from backups.
            Manage Backup Retention Policy Edit backup retention policy.
            Manage Backup Schedule Update when the backup runs.
            Run Compare Initiate a compare between backups.
            Run Restore Initiate a restore from a backup to the org.
            View Compare View compare activities in the Activities list.
            View Restore View restore activities in the Activities list.
            View Backup & Recover Audit Logs View audit logs.
            Download Backup & Recover Audit Log Download audit logs.
            View Backup Exclusions View backup exclusions settings.
            View Backup Files and Attachments Settings View the Files and Attachments settings page.
            View Backup Retention Policy View the backup retention policy settings.
            View Backup Schedule View the backup schedule settings.
            View Backup Details View backup details in the Backup tab.
            Access Activities Tab View activities.
