            Compare Your Backups

            Identify record changes between two Salesforce backups by comparing them. Quickly spot additions, modifications, and deletions to ensure data accuracy and integrity.

            Required Editions

            Available in: Lightning Experience
            Available in: Professional, Enterprise, Performance, and Unlimited Editions with the Backup & Recover Data and Backup & Recover Files add-on licenses
            User Permissions Needed
            To run compare: Run Compare
            To view compare reports: View Compare
            1. Click the Activities tab.
            2. Click Compare.
            3. Select the two backups to compare. By default, the last two backups are selected.
            4. Select whether to compare All Objects in the backups or Specific Objects. If you select Specific Objects, enter the objects to compare.
            5. Click Compare.

            The compare begins and is added to the Activities list. When complete, view the final compare report from the Activities list.

            • View Compare Results
              The compare report shows the record changes, including additions, modifications, and deletions, between objects in two different backups.
