Schedule When Your Backup Runs

Choose when and how often you want your backups to run to minimize the impact on your business.

Required Editions

Available in: Lightning Experience
Available in: Professional, Enterprise, Performance, and Unlimited Editions with the Backup & Recover Data and Backup & Recover Files add-on licenses
User Permissions Needed
To change to the backup schedule: Manage Backup Schedule
  1. In Salesforce Backup & Recover Next, click the Settings tab.
  2. From the navigation bar on the left, click Scheduled Backups.
  3. Choose a backup Frequency.
    Only the first backup of the day includes special objects. For more information on these objects, see Salesforce Backup & Recover Next Considerations
  4. Select the Time (UTC) to run backups.
  • Pause Scheduled Backups
    Pause and resume scheduled backups as needed. On-demand backups, compare, restore, and other app activities are still available when your scheduled backups are paused.
