View Backup Data

The Backup tab provides a full overview of all your backups. View backup information at a high level, or select a backup and see the included objects and details.

Required Editions

Available in: Lightning Experience
Available in: Professional, Enterprise, Performance, and Unlimited Editions with the Backup & Recover Data and Backup & Recover Files add-on licenses
User Permissions Needed
To view backup data: View Backup Details
  1. Click the Backup tab to review when the backup started, its status, type, and the number of records and files in the backup. You can also see how many records were deleted, changed, or added since the last backup.
  2. To see details about a backup, in the backup’s row, click "Action Icon", and then click View Backup.
  3. On the backup detail page, review information about the objects in the backup, including their backup status and the number of records and files for each object. You can also see how many of the object’s records were deleted, changed, or added since the last backup.
  • Cancel a Running Backup
    Stop a running backup in Salesforce to fix an error in production data or modify default backup options.
  • Run a Backup On Demand
    Aside from scheduled backups, you can start backups on demand in Backup & Recover Next up to three times a day. Run a backup on demand before or after a deployment or maintenance, or any time an additional recovery point is needed.
