The Salesforce Backup app can restore much of your data from a backup for you. You can
also export data from a backup and restore it with a data import tool such as Data Loader or Data
Import Wizard. Before you start, make sure that you have object-level permissions for the records
that you want to restore.

The file storage pricing for Salesforce Backup is calculated at 10% of the actual GB used.
For example, if an org stores 100 GB of files in Salesforce Backup, the "effective storage"
GB that's charged to the customer is 10 GB.
Restore Records with Salesforce Backup The Salesforce Backup app can restore records from a backup for you. Use this method for most restoration jobs. Before you start, make sure that you have object-level permissions for the records that you want to restore.
Restore Files with Salesforce Backup Restore a deleted or modified file from a backup. When an older or shared file has multiple versions, you can use filters to identify and restore a specific version of a file quickly. A file is restored on all of the records that it’s related to.
Export Data from a Backup You can export data from backups made with the Salesforce Backup app. Exports are helpful when you want to reference historical data, values, or information models. You can also use exported backups to complete larger or more complex data restoration projects.
