Use telemetry definitions to manage the data from connected assets. These definitions
create a logical structure for an asset's sensors and actuators. Enable seamless communication
for a connected asset to send data from its sensors and receive commands for its actuators.
Configure telemetry action definitions to perform remote operations. Automate service process
generation for an efficient customer experience.

Workflow for Telemetry Definition and Action Management Admins can configure telemetry definitions, telemetry action definitions, steps, and attributes, and generate service processes to launch remote actions for a connected asset. After the service process is generated and set up in Unified Catalog, customer support reps can launch them from the Action Launcher from a record page.
Manage Telemetry Definitions Admins can use telemetry definitions to create a logical structure of an asset's sensors and actuators. Create and activate telemetry definition records to define telemetry action definitions for executing remote commands.
Manage Telemetry Action Definitions Telemetry action definitions help admins to configure actions based on a specific telemetry definition version. These records capture actions taken on a telemetry signal from a connected asset. These definitions use a Target Component Path to specify which part of the asset to act on, such as turning off an asset's engine to prevent overheating. Actions are carried out through a series of defined steps, each with specific attributes that determine whether the step retrieves information or executes a remote command.
Service Process Generation for Telemetry Action Definitions Generate a service process from a telemetry action definition record. Review the changes to be made for the Omniscript-based intake form, update the predefined integration definition and activate the generated service process. Create a catalog and category on Unified Catalog for the service process to launch it from the Action Launcher.
