For more control over branding, customize the welcome email that internal users, such as
employees and contractors, receive when they first access your Salesforce org. To help users meet

Salesforce requires that all users must have a verified email address to send outgoing
emails. To help users complete email verification when they first access Salesforce, include
the {!NewUserWelcomeEmailLink} merge field. This field is
under Organization Fields. When you include this field in the welcome email, it gets replaced
with a verification link at runtime. Users click the verification link and are directed to set
a password for their account. After they set their password, their email address is considered
verified.
If you don't want to include this link, there are other ways to meet the email
verification requirement. See User Email Verification.
Add the email to your org settings.
From Setup, in the Quick Find box, enter Session Settings, and
then select Session Settings.
Under New User Welcome Email Settings, for Welcome Email Template, select , and then search for your email template.
If your email includes a {!NewUserWelcomeEmailLink}
merge field, set the expiration time for the link in the Link expires
in dropdown.
Save your changes.
Test that the welcome email appears as expected.
