Use Data Detect Keywords to extend data governance capabilities in Salesforce by
enabling precise, high-speed scanning for exact keywords and phrases within records. You can
define dictionaries of specific terms such as proprietary internal codes, prohibited marketing
terms, or foul language, identifying them across objects and fields. Use custom keywords or
keyword dictionaries in addition to the provided sensitive data categories.

Manage user access to Data Detect feature
Salesforce Data Detect can efficiently scan millions of records. The scans perform content
moderation and compliance adherence. Add up to 10 keywords (specific words or phrases up to
255 characters long) plus 10 regular expressions (custom patterns). Use any combination that
adds up to 20. For more than 1000 keywords, upload your own library of keywords.
Locate and select a policy you want to use, then select Keywords
and Add Keyword or New Keyword Dictionary
from the Keywords section.
For a single keyword, enter the keyword, and Save or
Save & New to add more than one keyword. Repeat as often
as needed until you’ve added all your keywords.
For a keyword dictionary, upload or drop a keyword .csv file, and select
Save. If you accidentally upload the incorrect file, click
Replace File. Upload only one keyword .csv file at a time. To
add another file, delete the existing one.
To edit or delete a keyword, use the dropdown in the Keywords section.
