Field History Explorer

With Field History Explorer, you can search for a specific record to view history changes for all tracked fields on that record. The information provides a detailed audit trail, showing who changed what and when, providing you with a built-in experience for visualizing historical changes and streamlines audit workflows. Field History Explorer is available to Field Audit Trail and Shield customers via the Shield app.

Required Editions

Available in: Lightning Experience
Available in: Enterprise, Performance, and Unlimited Editions with the purchase of Salesforce Shield or Field Audit Trail licenses.
User Permissions Needed
To access the Shield app: View Shield App Pages

To access Field History Explorer:

  1. From the App Launcher, find and select Shield.
  2. Click the tab for Field Audit Trail.
  3. In the lefthand navigation bar, click Field History Explorer.
